About TLC

Small business planning often takes on a corporate tone - sometimes requiring extensive planning well beyond the business owner's start up ideas with corporate language and departmental advising that really kind of misses the soul of many small businesses.

Sure, a 3 store retail outfit in a Metro area may benefit from this style of planning... however, the typical start up or small business in our rural and remote regions needs a different look.

Things like seasonality, limited talent pool, scarce resources and support, and natural disaster effect rurally based small businesses differently ~ small business owners in remote areas often want and need an approach that is tailored, community minded, family or lifestyle focused and inclusive of the owner - operators personal needs as much as developing and working into business goals.

So, here's what I know... small business owners need tailored analysis of their existing business position; a good look at risk, operational functions, and financial projections and a growth plan that looks at the next 1-3 years and they need a little guidance to set up systems that work ...specifically, for them.

Todays business climate is dynamic in ways we would not have imagined 10 years ago. It is an ever shifting playgroud in which entrepreneurs need to be ready to grab opportunity; pivot their strategies; and excel in customer service and employee recruitment excellence! Planning has become essential to seize the day, and guide ourselves into the future.

With TLC (fun initials hey?!) we take a 3 step approach to assessing, analyzing and administering your business solutions while balancing your external and personal realities into the mix.

You see... a big corporate AI written plan looks amazing on paper... but it was meant for someone with a big team, a manager, and full access to pick up the kids; take a sick day; run to the bank... so... not really ideal for the average client/student/ org that comes to hang out in small business reality with me =)
